What is the charateristic of counter pressure mold?
1.Filling velocity can be controlled,Although filling velocity can be adjusted in low pressure casting ,but when filling,the air in the cavity is thermally expanded,and the back pressure to the metal is variable. It is difficult to control the filling speed accurately.The filling pressure of counter pressure casting and back pressure in cavity can be adjusted casually which can be obtained the best filling speed. Due to high counter pressure in cavity,it is not easy to cause metal liquid to be sprayed and splashed, and it can be smoothly filled, which provides favorable conditions for those large and complex aluminum alloy castings with high quality requirements.
2.It can improve the mechanical properties of castings. When in counter pressure casting, the metal crystallizes and solidifies under high pressure, so the crystal grains are small, in the meanwhile,the feeding capacity is improved and the precipitation of gas in molten metal is suppressed which made the shrinkage and pinholes greatly reduced, and the wall thickness effect of casting is small. Finally, the mechanical properties of the casting are improved.
3.When the size precision and surface roughness of the casting are lower than those of counter pressure casting, Δp can be adjusted to obtain a clearly shape casting.These are more favorable for formation of thin-walled castings.
4.Controllable atmosphere casting can be achieved. Since the alloy liquid and partial pressure in cavity can be controlled. if the partial pressure of harmful gas is close to zero, the casting will be with low content harmful gas.In addition, the solubility of the gas can be improved under high pressure, such as the dissolution of nitrogen in the steel, which can improve the strength and wear resistance of the alloy.FAQ1.What is the differences with Superband and our competitor?
